Lynda Watson
Surveyor
As a Licensed Cadastral Surveyor, Lynda brings over three decades of experience to the Hokitika office. After moving to Hokitika on a temporary transfer in the early 90’s, Lynda has been involved in survey projects across the West Coast region and knows there still are plenty of areas left for her to explore.
Working with a broad range of clients, Lynda specialises in sub-division and land use consent applications. She oversees projects from concept through to completion and takes pride in helping her clients develop their land. With Lynda’s involvement in the working group to develop the new cadastral survey roles and her relationships with local groups and landowners she ensures a client’s project runs effortlessly.

Civil Engineering Designer
Raymond Gibbins
Civil Engineering Designer
Raymond’s design abilities have been obvious since he began his surveying career 30 years ago. While working as a Contracts Manager his design skills were put to good use offering design and build services to clients. The demand was so high for his skills that he set up his own company, Land Dimensions in 2008.
Raymond works with clients on civil engineering design from the initial concept, through the consenting process to the detailed design and project and contract management on site. Getting in on the ground floor and making projects a reality is what keeps Raymond motivated. His ability to view a project from outside the box and to take a vested interest in his client’s projects is what sets him apart. He’s not afraid to see what else he can do to improve a project and sees opportunities to do so as they arise.

James Tomkinson
Civil Engineer
As someone who has always sought to understand the design behind construction and earthworks, James enjoys the practicalities of making projects work on site. With over 25 years’ experience in the Civil Engineering and design industry, James spent a significant amount of time working alongside Tasman District Council during a period of rapid growth in the region.
Working closely within the Nelson team, James believes a collaborative approach towards projects generates the best outcomes with everyone working from the same page towards the same goal. Having worked closely with local council for several years, James champions having a collaborative approach between civil design and the consent process. His goal is to get the design right first time to streamline the design and construction process.
